What anonymous posters said
Several posts describe the away rotation as largely shadowing-based with limited chances to present, and multiple posters mention that letters of recommendation are not provided to rotators. Some commenters raised concerns about mentorship and support within the department, while others referenced a leadership transition and an internal review tied to resident survey feedback. A few posts also noted lower-than-expected match numbers in a recent cycle.

thoughts on wash u program?
also thoughts on the interview?
thought it was pretty chill
new PD was super nice
Is the few minutes where you go up on stage and say where you matched more important than where you will spend the next few years
people go on stage to say where they matched? mine just gives you the envelope and then you just open in a large room with everyone else and their family. kinda messed up to put people on the stage
Is this WashU / Dartmouth? WashU's match stage event be so crazy each year. And they make a video out of it every year. Some of the people opening their envelopes genuinely seemed sad. Dartmouth's match is fun though - I think you get to play your own boss song as you walk down the aisle? I may be misremembering though.
stage. I'm just here to flex on them
I'm so glad my school doesn't do this, I'm choosing where I'll be the happiest.
yea my school doesn't do this either lol i could care less what other people think too old for that
tbh I thought every school did this. Mine does and I like it but I can see it both ways
how many aways i did and where and how the culture was there also if i applied to X program in same state, idk if these are illegal but i felt weird when asked> feels fishy to me> attendings just being weird and out of touch in general, one interview someone heavily implied that out of state people shouldnt be interviewed etc
Got asked if u need to eliminate a country, what country that would be and why…..
wait guys lowkey after interviews are done we should make a fame and shame interview only edition sheet for these kinda things/ vibes of the rooms
totally agree
Anyone did Washu interview yet? If so how was it?
Any thoughts on the WashU interview??
thoughts on WashU today? think i tanked it </3
remember two WashU residents said during the social, they thought WashU interview went poorly for them. As long as you were yourself I am sure you did great :) you got this
It's okay, I think I bombed Penn rip.

i bombed a program this week and cried after
> i think some of the penn people seemed bored HHAHHAHAHA

FYI WashU peds derm track just dropped 11/24
just peds or did anyone get the regular? are all spots taken?
did anyone get one thats not peds
i thought 12/1 was when standard and peds were releasing?
I'm pretty sure 12/1 is standard.
fyi thalamus is open for scheduling
are they really interviewing 24 people for 1 peds-derm spot?
sounds about right
that ratio seems pretty large tho
are they going to be inviting more people for peds on 12/1 or are the spots filled?
I'm pretty sure 12/1 is standard.
Anyone who did the WashU rotation have any thoughts?
well, if you did the rotation why don't you start it off with yours
Hmm maybe this question is being asked because they haven't dont the rotation yet? What a thought!
how many letters to send to WashU? Website says to include 3 letters with at least one being from a core clerkship. Residency explorer says we can do 4. what are people doing
I did 4
Are there any derm programs that require medicine letters specifically? some programs dont have their LOR reqs listed on their site
I think just Med/Derm programs
WashU site recommends one non derm LOR
do any schools have secondary essays?
mt sinai did last year
I think BU did as well (?)
do these have to be completed at time of eras submission or after?
None that I'm aware of!
tysm :)
Schools that have secondaries: BU, U connecticut, U Iowa, Umiam (research track only), U Oklahoma, wash U (research track), Upenn has an optional one < iowa doesn't and WashU isn't offering researhc track this year
sorry! im just sharing what my PD sent us. but maybe this is last year's data?
WHen the fuck do we do secondaries?
