thoughts on UT Houston (McGovern) away if no connection to Texas? I read on the spreadsheet that they interview away rotators but their past matches look like it's mostly people from Texas/people who have a connection to Texas so not sure if it's worth it> It's really not worth. TX is a big state and they usually do NOT take applicants, even with strong ties to TX if they're not from TX school. Last year, I did an away and wish I did another away I turned down...

I have three aways on my radar and luckily one accepted me. I have a home program so was hoping to do 2 aways. The two programs I havent heard from yet at UT Houston and Howard. If I had to choose one vs the other to accept (god willing I have the choice, which should I pick and why)

Neither are good tbh but pick Houston. Howard's pay is horrendous.

I disagree. Howard residents are wonderful and while DC is expensive, look at the happiness of the residents too. Clearly they're happy and that says a lot despite lower pay
