What anonymous posters said
Anonymous posters often compared Einstein to other programs, with several suggesting it may better suit general dermatology or private practice than academic careers. Multiple posts described its Bronx location as a downside, while others cited patient population diversity as a strength. Some commenters also suggested home-institution applicants may have an edge in matching there.

Fame & Shame
2025–2026 Derm
2 entries✅1. The faculty and residents are incredibly kind
❌1. Not their fault, but the commute between sites really sucks and is why I won't be ranking it higher. Most residents live in UES which is great but the commute is between 45 min to 1 hr 15 depending on what site you're at.

Did anyone else interviewing at Montefiore get the impression that they completely did not prepare to interview you/was reading your application 2 min before? They mixed up my med school with my undergrad, thought I got a second degree but it was a research year, got major details just slightly wrong, etc it was weird/bad look for them x2
Does anyone know how many people Montefiore/Einstein is interviewing? In my interview day we were only 5 applicants, and there are only 2 interview days with AM and PM sessions so I'm wondering if they're really only interviewing 20 applicants for 7 spots...
Montefiore/Einstein has gotten some heat in past year spreadsheets for asking illegal questions in interviews. For those of you that already interviewed, did this happen? I wonder if with the new chair this year the interview day experience has improved
Sorry to beat a dead horse but I'm starting to look at the Hofstra/Northwell presentation - what have other people done and does everyone bring a powerpoint? This is lame.
Really struggling on what to say for Hofstra presentation. 7 min is a long time haha any ideas? x2
For those that interviewed at Montefiore today, what did you guys think? I was excited because the residents seemed awesome last night, but I felt like I completely botched my interviews, like the faculty were kind of awkward/I didn't connect with anyone. Anyone else felt this way, or did I just not mesh with the program?
To all the interviewees I met on the Hofstra interview today: I thought you guys were some of the most non-awkward, down-to-earth, easygoing people I've met so far and I had fun with you all today> I agree! not gonna lie at first I was like who are these people, but after chatting with y'all for a good amount you are awesome and I really enjoyed meeting all of you :)!
Is Einstein still doing a resident meet & greet tomorrow? Anyone get the zoom info?
Can anyone confirm there are no pre-interview events for Montefiore?
What are people doing for the Hofstra Northwell presentations? X2
Can anyone swap Montefiore 1/14 PM with any other date/ time with me??
Did anyone interview at Northwell Hofstra Zucker TY?
Thoughts on NYC program rankings. Previously it was discussed that NYU > Columbia > Cornell = Montefiore > Sinai=Downstate > Northwell > Stony Brook. Do we agree?
What are people doing for the Hofstra 7min presentation required before interviews???
