Is Brown full? >> I'm not positive but I don't think it's full yet. I emailed the PC an update and she said she'd add it to my file, so that makes me think there is still hope
it says full on the away offers tab, not sure if the person who wrote it knew it for certain >> Yeah, I saw that too. Idk!
Wanted to see if anyone did an away at the following institutions and has heard anything about them: UCSD, Brown, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, UTSW
dang 5 offers?>ppl have heard from Minnesota??> They didnt say they got accepted lol
Anybody who applied to Brown's diversity in medicine rotation hear back yet?> yes I heard back a few months ago.
reject for Brown away - not super suprised but did send email with my interest beforehand. anyone have insight on how acceptances are decided for aways?
another competitive specialty at my home program (not derm) uses a random number generator; I've heard most places use similarly arbitrary and meaningless tactics
why are places having us write essays then...
was it just for a certain block?
most places are first come first serve but that also means people are submitting their apps within the first hour it opens

What was that Doctorly Games thing at AAD I keep seeing in social media? Did some of the resident really win $25,000!?
Yes a Harvard resident got $25K. It's like Jeopardy run by Muneeb Shah
dang so the jeopardy during the interview social was recruitment for their aad jeopardy team huh
So the resident won $25,000 !? It wasnt like grant money for the residency or something like that?
yeah personal money, resident at brown got 2nd and got $15,000
Jeez!!!!

Rotated at UTSW and could not have had a more amazing experience. They offer 3 tracks: rheum derm, vulvar derm, and dermpath (this may have changed). All tracks give you experience at general Parkland clinics. Residents are a major, major strength of this program - they went out of their way to be welcoming and treat you as peers/equals. Faculty are some of the foremost experts in their respective fields. Tons of opportunities to see patients on your own, present, and write notes. Everyone has their own unique experience, but myself and my co-rotators did not experience ANY of the negative things highlighted in the shame tab. Dr. Mauskar specifically went out of her way to be welcoming and kind.
So surprised people ranked these following programs pretty low: BU, Colorado, USC, Brown, UTSW, Mayo, WashU, Case, UT Houston, Utah << although I ranked UT Houston 2nd, I can understand their ranking
yikes people did not like brown
Did Brown seriously make RTM calls?
does anybody know if there's a Brown social/event tonight for those interviewing tomorrow? thought they said there would be but haven't heard anything
Has anyone worked with Dr. Qureshi at Brown? I’d like to hear about your experience before I commit to a year. >Is he supportive of his mentees during the Match process and publications??
What does an 8-5 interview day even entail? Trying to figure out if Brown will end early
anybody able to schedule Davis or Brown yet?
Just want to confirm that Brown's interviews are virtual right?
