Did anyone get a confirmation for their interview date? Sent preferences but haven't heard back, which is fine -- just wondering :) -- Is this the same as UPMC?

Sorry, didn't mean to be a jerk or make it sound like I have a bunch of derm interviews. It just sucks to have to cancel an interview when you are not in a position to be cancelling anything...

It looks like this "early bird" user has 2 interviews scheduled on 1/10. If no one switches with him/her, then a spot will open up for the rest of us at either UPMC or Duke.

you know, its just dumber than dumb to hold on to an interview that you cant go to because statistically it could mean that the person you knocked off of that potential interview is more likely to take your spot in the match.... especially in the same state where some people have ties.... its just really dumb to do that besides being mean. Let people have the interviews at places you dont want to go because then they might match there and will be less competition for the places you actually want to match at!! it just makes sense people!!!

lol this has been resolved and canceled the psu interview last week, i just dont go on this psycho spreadsheet when i dont have to

The dbaggery with double booking is unbelievable. Wish this was all done through ERAS and applicants couldn't do this in the first place. x2

This 11/29 applicant was actually TRIPLE booked with Yale initially, if you look at the resolved swaps.

Too close to the interview date and a program probably can't even accommodate a swap, the interviewers have to read over files in advance

Damn, ice cold reply. But it is a little messed up people are attacking the person for doing something, almost everyone here would probably do too in the same situation

I don't have sympathy for the applicant who's manipulating the interview system. If he/she cancels right before an interview, or no-shows, their school should hear about it and word should spread. Do you think the program that gets shafted will invite future applicants from that school?

These programs don't even have waitlists --- you can't be serious. Just because a program doesn't send out a waitlist doesn't mean they don't have alternates they will offer an interview when people cancel. Programs have a number of interviews they want to conduct in order to ensure they match all their spots. If everyone like you refused to drop an interview until the last minute, you are putting these programs in a bad spot and hurting another person's chance of matching. x3 again canceled psu last week and just didnt update this spreadsheet so yall are wasting your time complaining about me
