California Dreamin', or California Nightmare, or Hotel California?
All the leaves are brown and the sky is gray I've been for a walk on a winter's day I'd be safe and warm if I received an invit-ay California dreamin' on such a winter's day
You can check out any time you like, But you can never leave.

<< that should be it, i found it by searching http - meme --> Thank you so much!!
Interview calendar is still looking for these dates below. Anyone? UConn, FSU, Georgia, Maryland, UC-Irvine, Wright State, Roger Williams, Tennessee, Mayo-Rochester, Icahn, SUNY Brooklyn, University Hospitals, Kansas, Cornell, Baylor (Dallas), Metropolitan, Temple
The derm gods have responded above!
Ugh, that moment when you see "AAMC email" and it's just confirmation for an upcoming prelim interview. << lol, so true
Brown did RTM calls
bruh, SLC is one of the most desirable locations in the US. It's kind of like Austin/Nashville/Denver where it hasn't always been a hot spot like Boston/San Fran/NYC, but young people have been flocking there in recent years. TBH though, SLC is still not a great place to live if you are a minority. And don't be fooled by how "progressive" it is. It's smack in the middle of mormon country. Great skiing though. anyone know how progressive SLC is? what is a desirable city for certain demographics may not be as welcoming for others <-- There is actually a pretty strong LGBT community in SLC.
Utah is amazing!
Utah is terrible. It would be foolish to rank it. Also why are we wasting time talking about non-top 5 programs? --- Utah is solid top ~10-15 program which is still very good even if it's not Harvard. Also Utah is okay, but Salt Lake City is incredible
you're really sabotaging my misinformation about Utah campaign << Sorry my bad :(
Did an away and grew up in SLC: If you like the outdoors, then it is a great place to train. People are generally nice. Relatively low crime. Not very much diversity if that is something important to you. Interestingly, one of the largest dermatology faculties in the nation, yet probably the least diverse. You might argue that this is reflective of the population of Utah, but other specialties at the U are WAY more diverse than derm. Some of this could be blamed on lack of diversity in derm as a whole and difficulty recruiting minorities to Utah, but come on... Not a single brown or black person on faculty of 40-50. Pretty shameful. << this. not having a brown or black person as a faculty in derm is not uncommon even in diverse/big programs... <examples?
utah is amazing!! my favorite state!
Yes
people still sent LOI. The no thank you note thing is more to make it easier for us since it does not make an impact. LOI probably will not make an impact either, but if you want to it should be fine x2
Anyone have a sense how much these lists move? Feeling freaked out that im probably not ranked extremely highly anywhere and wondering whether ppl get in usually anyway even if no where really ranks them top 5-10
A lot of interviews interviewed the same people so that helps! One applicant can only take up 1 spot. I counted up all the unique spots that there are for my interviews ex 2 spots, 5 spots, 4 spots etc ... and that gave me some comfort
honestly, sometimes I just hope everyone gets what they want and nobody wants the same program as me. lol x2
Radio silence re: late breaking but not sure if they went out. Anyone hear rejection or acceptance?
just got notified today
accepted or rejected?
yes it was a mass email
how many people do Stanford interview?
thank you!
very unlikley to get trickles the other date since many people want to switch to that one since it does not have conflicts so they have waitlists / swaps for that date. There will probably be more trickles for 1/10 though at Brown and other programs.
lol this is funny I see this here, I’m a PGY 1 who did a research talk at penn state last year, I was the only one who didn’t wear a suit, also was one of only 2 people without a PhD. Didn’t really matter I think the talk went well and multiple attendings at interviews the following day seemed genuinely interested in what I had talked about... but it did stand out to me that I should have probably worn a suit lol
Congrats!<good person <Thought's on the program, strengths/weaknesses??? I had a brown trickle this morning too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
LMFAO I cannot
I'm thinking that trickles will come through early/mid jan, given that most give 2 weeks notice << am i literally the only one recieving no trickles, only rejections?
me too :( no trickle gang rise up x3
< I got a trickle and wlll also be dropping some on Monday to send a few more trickles out b <- was your trickle for 1/10 also? <yes
