Anyone else interviewing at UTSW tomorrow but hasn't received the OneDrive link? <the link has 40+ publication PDFs, WTF do they expect us to do with that?

Which programs are known to treat their residents as work horses in terms of call, poor benefits, etc.? << Many of the top tier academic Derm programs in terms of hours, which isn't surprising. You have 3 years to try to learn as much Dermatology as you can, and you learn best with high volume and repeated exposure as a resident until you're finally out on your own as a full-fledged attending. There's a reason places like Harvard, NYU, UCSF, Penn, UTSW, U Miami, etc. have really well-trained residents which sets them up well for fellowship programs, if they decide to do one. < there are alot of solid mid tier programs that do the same without the malignancy. we need to stop making excuses for these top places

So if the only place I haven't gotten a rejection from (on the WL/R sheet) is UTSW, does that mean there is still a chance?

Has anyone just not gotten a rejection from UTSW? Did not submit the supplemental so I'm wondering if I'm automatically disqualified?

Has UTSW sent all their invites out? < yes < the fact that people act like the confidently know this is wild < haha some people know though. i can answer confidently for my home program for example, and there are residents/faculty lurking here too << why is it wild, all interview slots are full = all invites sent. it's common sense < not necessarily. programs can also open additional spots up, seen it with my prelims so guessing could happen in derm too < it is uncommon to open additional spots given that interviews are tightly packed whithin a half day schedule

just realized that only four of the top 20 programs have released invites (emory, yale, UTSW, northwestern)... 11/29 is the big day < I mean also Pitt, UNC, Duke, Cornell, Minnesota < are you implying all these are T20? < all very strong programs but not top 20 if we're going off of doximity.. which is flawed but yeah < what are you judging their strength based on? < doximity does it mainly based on research and reputation I think, not sure how to evaluate a program otherwise... maybe we should come up with a rubric for quality and breadth of training?

Any idea what's up with UTSW rejections? Curious what it means if you haven't heard anything so far < did they reject many, seems small compared to MCW/UNC
