anyone know if the penn state prelim is linked to the derm program?

...based on the NRMP system, Penn is only taking TWO people for the regular 3-year derm track???

I just found out Dr. Pimple Popper went to residency at Southern Illinois University or something and now realize that none of this matters b/c where you go for residency doesn't even predict your future success lol > dermies can make anything happen > yeah i think people are obsessed with reputation on this spreadsheet which is so interesting, it really doesn't matter some of the most famous academic derms didn't all come through Harvard/Penn/NYU x3 dont tell that to the same 20 people clogging up this spreadsheet with questions about the same 3 programs lmfao!

Does Penn have academic half days for self study?

Does anyone know anybody who matched at Harvard, Penn, or Stanford with sub 250 Step 1 scores? Please forgive me for my insecurity, but I think the interviews I got were curtesy interviews. I made the mistake of googling some of the current residents and the ones I googled have public pages that have their Step scores (becuase they are Step tutors haha) and they're 260+ so I'm feeling like chances are not looking good. Anyone have any hopeful (or realistic) words to share? I'd be indebted.

lowly M3 here lmao. I'm on cutaneous onc RY currently and I'm hoping to apply med derm. My step score is a little below average for derm and I'm worried that's disqualifying, especially because the the med derm info page at penn et al state "higher requirements than regular derm program." I'd be happy doing derm, but want to do cutaneous onc at a cancer center long term so would enjoy the additional onc exposure in med derm programs. anyone here have any success stories of applying med derm? would be so grateful for any advice or experiences! I posted the question on reddit but I didn't get any responses, I'm sorry to intrude!

before my post was so rudely deleted by an annoying human being: I was asking for any advice about interview packets for -NYU (got a response! sent via email), Harvard (plesae help!) and Penn (please help!)

For those that interviewed at Penn today, how was it? What did you think?

Anyone have a sense of why programs "assign" you a single interview date? For example, Northwestern and Penn. Are certain dates for more highly ranked candidates?<they actually do tier their candidates and group them for interviews to make their final committee review easier, source: prior chief at penn

Does anyone know how many applicants are interviewed for how many spots at Stanford, Harvard, Penn, NYU, UCSF, etc?
