Lol Harvard's shame got deleted. Are PD's or resident checking this?
obviously
What day did you preference for Harvard: Tuesday () or Thursday ()
has anyone heard back yet about confirmation?
no ;(
are people still ghosted by yale and harvard for scheduling? haven't heard anything
harvard sent an email that they're working on it, but nothing from yale yet
Dont even care about doxxing myself but met another applicant this week that admitted they say negative things on here about their top programs to try to steer other people away and increase their chances of matching there. Some of you be crazy mfs.
recently had the same experience lol
Unrelated but Harvard kind of sucks now. We should all turn down our interviews to really show them! What do you think?
lmao
it's not gonna deter anyone away, they're living in fairy land. These gunner behaviors are noticed and as a derm resident, I've seen so many of these gunner types crash and burn each cycle because they eventually can't keep up the kind act 24/7 and their true self unveils
also had a co-applicant tell me to not apply to her top school lol...
this is so toxic i'm sorry

Can anyone offer any guidance on the following MA TY programs: BIDMC Brockton TY vs MGB Newton-Wellesley TY vs CHA TY? The info on the prelim/TY sheet is really not helpful at all. How do they differ? What makes one preferable over another?
Did everyone who applied to BIDMC get that weird email saying to check your inbox Monday?
when was this email sent?
this happened last year and the year before, it's only sent to those who got an interview and it's essentially a "pre-II" letting you know the invite is coming shortly
yes, I am equally perplexed
BI prelim year? I did not get an email, what did it say?
just to watch our email on Monday for interview invites - maybe only people who got an interview got it
i got the email and got an II
> no BIDMC TY year at Brockton

Anyone have any insights on when MSKCC or BIDMC Brockton TYs might release IIs (lol sry still thinking about intern yr programs...)
Tomorrow for BIDMC (if you got the email)
Do the MGH/BWH prelims still have interview openings / are they still releasing interviews, or was 10/17 the only date?
from what i have gathered, they only do a single release date, so your opportunity to be interviewed would likely come from someone else dropping their interview slot
based on prior years I heard they only do one!

Has anyone done the advanced derm rotation at Harvard? If so, did you feel it was good for learning or mostly shadowing?
Omg this harvard supplement...
there isn't a Harvard supplement
i didn't know they had a supplement
was sarcasm> wait is there a harvard supplement?
no lol
stop fear mongering
what programs are super heavy on research?
Penn, Hopkins, Harvard, UCSF, Stanford, Duke, Mich, Northwestern, basically the top tier academic institutions
< what if you're a DO that's heavy on research? Consnsus is MD programs like more research. DO programs like higher scores/academics. < then im cooked < CWRC/UH hospitals is DO friendly and research heavy
Are ppl gold signaling the ivies like penn harvard yale etc?
lnfo is available in signal tally tab
gold signaling Penn
From the cornell info session, it seems like they only take people who do away rotators there, is this true?
my resident friend there said historically it's away rotators or home students/other ppl from Manhattan med schools
is this the same for columbia?
tbh I feel like most of the nyc programs are like this
what about harvard?
i got interviews at nyu, columbia, cornell with no nyc connections and no away and being from far away, did not get mt sinai. harvard does not take into account whether you did an away or not in their interview invites; i interviewed there as well
ya i was told not to really bother applying if I didn't do an away because all the interviews are pretty much given to home/away students
do we know what schools are more open with interviews? seems like most do very few other than home and aways
it is easy to tell you schools who dont interview openly (UTMB, UT san antonio), please feel free to add the list.>

Does anyone have the link to register for the harvard derm info session?
