Does anyone know anybody who matched at Harvard, Penn, or Stanford with sub 250 Step 1 scores? Please forgive me for my insecurity, but I think the interviews I got were curtesy interviews. I made the mistake of googling some of the current residents and the ones I googled have public pages that have their Step scores (becuase they are Step tutors haha) and they're 260+ so I'm feeling like chances are not looking good. Anyone have any hopeful (or realistic) words to share? I'd be indebted.

Fame & Shame
2025–2026 Derm
4 entries✅1. All of the hospitals are beautiful
❌1. I heard that their Peds Derm spot is guaranteed to whoever their current research fellow is, the nepotism runs deep. Good luck.
❌2. Most stressful interview day. No breaks between rooms. Rapid fire of very challenging questions and follow-ups. Felt very judged with every answer I gave. PD responded with rudeness after I asked a basic question.
💬1. well the shame is clearly not true as this year's peds match was not the research fellow +1. very organized interview day and responsive coordinator. > hated this interview day seemed like they were trying to see how you do under stress

Does Stanford interview all internals?
When is Stanford sending out RTM calls?
Can we debrief our thoughts about Stanford lol > Yes.
fwiw, the top applicants this season have been seeing each other across most of these virtual interviews. newsflash, there's about 40-50 of them, accounting for regional bias, and they are the ones that can really compare an interview from stanford to one from harvard to ucsf to utsw, etc. if you don't don't have those kinds of options, follow doximity rankings or whatever other metric brings you joy. No one is trying to screw with your rank list here, only you can control that. The comments on this spreadsheet are just what would be happening in person in real-time if that were an option, probably with more honesty than otherwise possible.
Does anyone feel like they bombed their Stanford interview? :( Feeling so sad< dont feel bad, OP. I also did poorly on this one. It was so hard. Some questions were insane. I don't understand how people who are that nice can have such a hard interview.
Does Stanford do RTM calls? Looks like they did it last year..?
curious to know how stanford's blinding to step scores etc worked out
What did people think of the Stanford interview day?
Stanford interview day impressions? UCSD interview impressions? UPMC interview impressions?
Applicants from T 20 schools - if you have an interview to a T 10 derm program are you picking prestige that regular people are aware of (Harvard, Stanford) or going for fit with a less world famous name?
Why are you gunners always deleting sh*t!!! HARVARD was awesome. Don't believe the lies on the negatives on the interview impression sheet!<Classic comment from someone gunning for stanford/ucsf/nyu :)
besides ucsf and stanford, are the rest of the cali programs pretty equivocal?
Does anyone know how many applicants are interviewed for how many spots at Stanford, Harvard, Penn, NYU, UCSF, etc?
Does anyone know how many stanford is taking this year?
